Default Another use for the paddletails....

I got a core color question about this process in the 1.5" baits last week just as we were leaving for three days. I gave the test run a go this morning and here's what came of it. Pretty nice results and since the mold is formatted to shoot two sides instead of a top and bottom the color is spread out so its very visible when the bait is rigged for fishing.

I'm going to try a few other combos later today.

The picture really doesn't do the baits justice. In the hand they are something else.

I hand pour one side of the mold then dot raw colorant on the poured surface in a couple places, clamp up the mold and shoot the other half. When the mold is injected the incoming plastic washes the colorant along with it when it fills the mold.
