4/15/15 Lake Girardeau

Fished from 9am to 2pm, fished every color lure I had in my box and only caught two fish. But I managed to catch the biggest black crappie so far. He was 14 inches long and only weighed 1.7 pound.

Lol I was just excited to actually catch a fish out of that lake.

It's the closest place around me to float a boat besides duck creek. Some days it's nice to be on the water

Same here Danny. It's 12 minutes from my driveway to the boat ramp. It's just frustrating to have such a beautiful lake so close but fishing is so terrible. Back in the 70's and 80's we caught nice size crappie regularly in good numbers there.
