The dog food might also attract some bait fish and where the bait fish are so will the preditors be. Get some!!!

Ever tried freeze-dried bait cubes? I use them when i plan on shore fishing and icefishing. They bring the fish to you, when you can't go to them. I'm not on his staff or anything. I'm recommending them because they work for me. www.kastaway.com . Get the bait cubes and sink them in your hole/ spot you plan to fish and give them 1/2 hr to 45 minutes to work.
