What is your go to style of bait when long lining?
curlytail and slider
This is my 3rd year trolling cranks and I'm having a great time doing it. Relative to depth (100, 200, 300) but colors are about the same everywhere. Some colors work better on some days, just like jigs.

I have been spider rigging the past couple years, and would like to try long lining. Isnt the Bandit 100 and 200's the staple crank for Crappie?
I use 300 mostly but I have a lot of deep water. Our thermocline sets up about 18' or so come summer and the bandits run 12 to 15 depending on line size and amount of distance. Hold on when you go there, they run about $6 each. I have a bunch but most from yard sales whenever I can. Look on the MS forum, those guys do a lot of that and have posts giving more info.

1/8 oz lead head with curly tails under a float.
If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?
I don't consider pulling cranks the same as longlining although I guess they technically could be because of the amount of line out and the position of the rods in the boat. To me longlining is using a jig or two off the back at .8 to 1.1mph.

So does anybody longline minnows?
On occasion, but it will attract lots of green carp. They love meat on a bone. That's what I call a minnow on a naked jig.
Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
