    Default Lcx27c ??

BPS lists it as new. But it must be so new Lowrance doesn't know they have it. It does have all the features I'm looking for in one but wish I could find more info on it.

The Lowrance web site doesn't have any of there newer models showing. BassPro has most listed, go figure.

    Bill,

It is the replacement for the 25C. I'm trying to decide between the 520C and 27C myself. The price for the 27C may knock it out of the running. Here is a link with a little more information:

Keith, which card did you say seemed to record faster, SD or MMC? That would be pretty neat to be able to record and have FHS card in at the sme time. I like the bigger screen too.

I bought the LCX25c from Clint at Three Rivers. Hes a good guy and he has the cheapest prices. Call or email him for a price. He sells them cheaper than the advertised price.

All I have are SD cards, so I don't know about MMC cards. Make sure you get a better quality SD card with a higher write speed. Both the 2 GB San Disk (blue) and the 2 GB San Disk Ultra II (black) cards work just fine. The inexpensive 1 GB PNY card did not work.

I've used both MMC and SD Cards and saw no difference in write speed on the Lowrance units.
I'm waiting to see what applications can be used with the added ethernet port on the new units. This could open all kinds of possibilities.
