Default LOZ Report - Big Niangua - 3-28/29

2 of us went down Sat morning for a quick trip down and back. Put in at Larry Gale and got on the water around 9am. 1st spot produced 15 keepers with 10 over 10 inches. Slowed WAY down after 10am and picked the rest of our limit from a few more spots. Caught a lot of shorts. I'd say we caught around 50 fish a piece. Stayed slow Sunday morning with only 2 keepers before leaving for home around 11am. Biggest fish was 14in. All the fish I found were in 18-20 feet suspended over brush around 5-7 feet from the surface.

    Water temp - 53-57 degrees
Location: Big Niangua near Larry Gale
Baits: Unpainted 1/32oz pony heads with #4 red sickle hooks with Bobby Garland Baby Shad in Blue Ice. My buddy might have caught a few on minnows but most were caught jigs.
Presentation: I let the jig sink for a 5 count and then a slow steady reel in. I mean SLOW...painfully SLOW. When you think you are slow enough...GO SLOWER lol.

    Carry on...

Are you guys fishing out of a Legend SS or a Weldcraft jet boat? The back deck area looks very similiar to my Legend SS that I am running. Love that boat!
