    Default Umbrellas

OK , maw and me both want an umbrella for our seats . Never been down this road before , figured I better ask here before I bail off into this . Seen some that mount to the back of the seat that adjust one direction only .

Seen some that mount under the seat on seat pole . This looks to be the easiest but maybe not the handiest .

With a padded seat back , mounting the bracket involves taking the seat apart to bolt it on . Hummmm.

What ya'll figure out that works well?

Get the 8 foot Sportbrella from Sam's Club or Sportman's Warehouse. It comes in several colors. You will have to figure out the best way to mount it but it comes with two tie downs to keep it in the boat. The 3/4" center pole will fit in a regular seat base.

I made 2 of these about 10 years ago, they will hold the 5 foot umbrellas no problems.

I built mine out of PVC also. Find the right size that fits over your pedestal and go buy a cheap beach umbrella from Wal-mart and do a little improvising with the shaft. Mine will rotate 360 deg. Had mine for >10 years. Cost - approx $20 for 2.

I will have a bit more trouble with an umbrella mount,I have a nucanoe,I need to mount a mount some other way that a standard boat would allow.
