    Question Winter spots????

I just wanted to check if anyone is having any luck fishing up closer to the mouth of the rivers coming into the lakes. I've been fishing Pomme De Terre and the normal spots have really slowed or stopped. I just need some ( expertise advice ) on that area of the lakes and if the fish might move back up the lake in the winter.

I have been fishin the main lake lately and have been catching fish so i decided to try up the glaize last trip out and things were very slow and got worse the further i went up but that will change shortly, usually when they drop the lake to winter pool and it is stable for a few days they move way up the glaize arm and spread out on the flats(if the water is stained)i guess its one of their first movements preparing for the upcoming spawn.Just because the water is cold dont overlook shallow water especially on warm afternoons the fish are up there feeding big time,i always catch fish in 8' or less starting sometime in january and usually they are full of shad so that proves to me that all the shad in the lake dont stay deep either.Right now i would try the main lake then in a few weeks try up one of the creek arms just find a flat with some structure and a creek/river channel and give it a shot.

Bugs I'll give that a try,and any other winter tricks you can think of I'll be listening. I've been working the structures in water 20' to 30', along the channel, the last time I was there the water was crystal clear and it was dead, no nibbles. I was just wondering if they may make a journey back to the shallows during the cold weather or I was just looking the wrong area. Maybe I should quit work and hit the lake everyday so I can follow the fish around.

Also try the first point in on some of the bigger creeks i have been finding fish on some of those. Are there many docks on pomme?if so hit some of them and i promise you'll find some.If we get the rain they're talking about it should provide enough for some runoff and if it does move up the creeks and find some stained water and you'll find some feeding fish.

I have not been hitting the docks at all, I'll give that a shot too. Have you been using a minnow jig combo or just a jig? Thanks for the help.
