New to VA

Hey guys, been reading the message board for a few weeks now, and it looks like a helpfull site. I just moved down from Ontario. My parents have a cottage on Rice Lake and I would target the crappie. Are there any good crappie lakes or ponds within 2-4hrs from the Northern VA area? Been out fishing a few times at the local lakes and haven't done well for any species, and never have seen a crappie yet. Any help would be appreciated
