Which ones do you recommend ? Do you test them once a year ? These c.o.e. lakes in the south get toasty in the summer .

I wear the belt style manual inflate when I am with somebody....I wear a auto inflatable suspender style when by myself.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

we go a couple . of inflatables from cabelas on sale in2014 and we really like em, wear them all the time. Its like your seatbelt, I always put it on and sometimes never take it off. we havent tested them, but it shows green that they are charged and good.

Got three of the SOS supenders and try not to test them in cold weather. But most summer will jump in before coming home. Then rearm them. 2 of these are first gen ones. So there old, but still work as good as the new one. Do not get the manual ones, hard to pull that cord when your under water or knocked out. Auto's is the only way to go.

I have two. One Cabelas 3500 auto and a mustang auto. I have had the mustang for 6 years never activated it. The Cabelas was activated during the ice storm in my dock box when water got in the box. I have never had a problem wearing it in rain.

Cabelas 3500 auto's for me as well. No issues in the rain, very comfortable to wear. I waited for a sale to purchase mine (usually in December and again in April).
