Default Where to get a 6" gas powered ice auger?

My buddy just can't find one anywhere. Everywhere he's looked, he's only found 8" or larger ice augers. He want's a 6" Light Weight Gas Powered ice auger. Has anyone a clue as to who might sell one?

    thanks all

    Thumbs up Strikemaster

Strikemaster sells a 6" LazerMag Express in a 6", but it's only one pound less (23#) in weight than an 8", so I don't see an advantage.
We have a 6" manual that only weighs 6 1/2 pounds and Doug can cut holes pretty fast as long as he's not dealing with a foot or more of ice. The Strikemaster people are very nice to work with - Roberta

You are the best. My buddy Tom was over and we searched and searched the net and came up with none. Thanks Roberta.

I'm not sure, he said he wanted the smaller hole opening cause he wanted to reduce the weight of the auger, but you're right. It's only a slight difference in weight. Another advantage might be with the speed and effort in drilling. But if you're using a power auger, then who cares, right. Perhaps the last advantage I can think of in a smaller hole is, Tom's son Tommy might be less apt to fall in the smaller hole. And I know, I've been ice fishing with the two of them, Tommy has been known to fall in an ice hole! Here's a link to the two of them:

I love the last pic of Tom with the sunset. If only Tom wasn't in it! lol

I'd go with a cordless drill adaptor. Or an offset handle on a strikemaster.
get on their website, Where you guys located? Maybe we can hook up and ice a few.

I'm at the Illinois/Wisconsin border, just north of Chicago. Ussually fish around thed Chain-O-Lakes, or we go up way North in Wisconsin, North of Green Bay. Where you at?

Just west of Pontiac, fish bloomington area lakes, mazonia, braidwood etc.
Made the run up to Lake Geneva for bait a couple times. Ever look in at that Chicagolandfishing web site? Ice is all but gone here but that won't slow us up much. Maybe put more time into late deer season.
