Just use the amount they recommend per gallon of fuel. I use it in anything that has gas in it for the winter and it works great for me.

Do you just add it to the gas or to run the motor to get it through the system?

yes, treat your gas first, then run the motor for seveal minutes to make sure the treated gas gets into the fuel system. You wont have any problems this spring when you fire the motor up again.

I also like to fill the tank up to reduce the empty space in the tank where moisture can form. Course I boat all year long now.

Yeh let it run a few min. then pull the gass line and let it run out of gas. You might also change lower unit oil because that will tell you if there is water in there. If there is water you can bust your lower unit in a hard freeze. Might as well spray some fog in the cyl.s to help the rings from sticking. Charge the bat to keep it from busting. All this can be done in 45 min.
    Thats what I do

I've had a marine mechanic tell me that "pulling the gas line and letting a two cycle engine run dry was a big no no." He explained to me that the gas oil fuel mixture was the lubrication for the engine and that running it dry was just grinding things away as the motor ran dry.
