    Default StandOut hooks

Anyone use or has tried StandOut hooks? Looks like either 4 or 2 would be the size I think.

The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

I use them a lot for dropshotting bass. They would work great with a minnow on crappie.

That is my thought. I'm gonna try them.

They will work but in my opinion need a plastic bait on them to make them work better. Minnows will slide down and hang up and down on them instead of sticking straight out like you would think. Maybe if trolling fast they would stay horizontal. We had a bunch tied up for rigging and ended up just sliding a bait on to the hook to keep the minnow from sliding down.

Thanks, that sounds reasonable. Good info.

I think you are right about hookin' the stumps Beagle, but I was thinking more about it catchin' my hand or fingers.

I bought some a few years ago and quickly found a regular hook tied on a loop works just as well and costs a lot less but they do work.
