    Default Poor mans beetle spin

Some of us are too poor to afford to buy ready made tackle so we are forced to improvise. This is the poor mans version of the beetle spin. Remember, "poor people have poor ways", so don't be too critical.

Nothing wrong there - I pour and tie my own jigs but I also make my own beetle spin frames. I'll post a pic tonight when I get home

Poor and ball bearing swivels... You sure you're poor??

i use the bass pro betel spin frames, 10-12 to the pack, and like $7 a bag. Silver, gold, different blade shapes..

Impressive! I can see adapting several presentations that way, not only for crappie either. Thanks!

The only critics that matter are the fish! I'm betting they will be giving you their business. You'll enjoy it even more catching them off a lure you made. Nice job!

This is also part of my new DIY line of fishing gear It goes along with its counter part the poor mans road runner. I don't know if the poor mans beetle spin will catch or not, but the poor man road runner will. It runs really good in the water.
