Thanks Tim. I guess time will tell how today's weather is gonna turn out.
I have corresponded with a number of people on this board who just good folks and I have gotten some great info. The weather down south is not friendly and I want to wish you all safe travels.
I told my wife that I wouldn't need to sell the ice fishing gear when we move to Atlanta
Thanks Tim. I guess time will tell how today's weather is gonna turn out.

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope you'll be moving to outside Atlanta. Too many people close to town.

I was telling my wife the other day: "You watch the weather channel and you never hear them talking about snow, wind, cold, rain..... In Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the Dakota's". She says to me: "because all of that stuff is normal to us!"
She's right, we have the equipment, and the conditioning for it, you guys down there don't. I pray you come out of it quick.
The below picture was taken this morning at around 7:50am. My meter on this one is actually on my back porch (facing East). That Minus 20 degrees is actually in the sun! On the West side of the house it was minus 24 (that is without the wind chill factor).

Having the equipment makes a big difference. I was in Tennessee North of Chattanooga Monday and Tuesday when the freezing rain hit. TDOT was all over it with salt trucks. Crossed back into Alabama and what ice fell was untouched.

Ya'll laugh at at us rednecks every winter but wait until you get here and sample our heat and humidity this summer. What goes around, comes around. You will love the spring and fall fishing though.
