    Any one ever tip there jigs with live crickets? I've caught Sac on crickets brim fishing seems like the scent would help when fishing jigs

    I think it would be tough to keep the bluegills off your jigs. You'd probably get at least twenty gills for every crappie.

    I have fished w/ one of those Charlie Brewer Mini Bees. 1/2 inch w/ spinner and tipped w/ crickets. Caught crappie, bluegill, and white bass. We caught a bunch. My fishing buddy was wanting one before we left, because he did not have one.

    Strange things happen on the water . Several years ago while fly fishing Monroe lake (Amory, MS.) l I caught about ten crappie rolling crickets in about ten minutes . Never before or since . right place/right time .
