Default Bull Frogs. Extinct or what?

Sure don't see or hear them anymore. Whats happened to them? Heck even Shawnee Lake was loaded with them years ago.

I see quite a few every year especially when dove hunting around farm ponds in September.

Couple ponds I fish have dozens of monster bullfrogs. Makes it tough to even fish a topwater frog for bass during the summer sometimes.

You might want to get a few for the skillet.

Used to do a lot of frogging in the flinthills around Emporia and the Grove. Love those home grown frog legs!

The last several years of drought haven't helped the bullfrogs. A lot of water disappeared for extended periods and as you know, no water = no frogs!

I've also noticed fewer bullfrogs at some of lakes with "permanent" waters. Low water levels on normally consistent shorelines leaves a lot of the good frog habitat high and dry so that may help explain some situations.
