    Default Early Christmas Present

Took my 9-yo out for a while on Lake Hamilton today and he caught our first fish - this 16.5-inch Female Black Crappie that weighed 2-pounds, 6-ounces. He caught another good one later – a White Crappie that was 15.75-inches long and weighed 1-pound, 14-ounces.

We only caught 6 Crappie but the four biggest averaged 2-pounds, 2-ounces. We caught some bass and bream too so I think he feels like he got an early Christmas present.

That's my boy. Taught him everything I know!!! Way to go Owen. Thanks for standing in for me while I'm gone and keeping your dad humble, LOL.

Grizz is jealous again. Why couldn't my dad have been a crappie guide. Some kids get all the breaks. Very nice fish.

Nice fish. I agree with GRIZZ. What's the easiest way to tell if it's a male or female?

Can't tell until you clean them. Owens fish went under the knife.
