Anyone going to Bass Pro Independence MO - Crappie Madness Jan 31st?

Anyone going to Crappie Madness at Bass Pro Independence on Jan 31st? Cory Batterson (?) is the speaker. I'm heading to the 2 PM seminar just for kicks. If any local guys are there it would be nice to meet you and say hey, and it would be cool to share some info on the local Jackson County lakes if possible. I had them dialed in a Prairie Lee last year, I'll trade you some PL spots for tips on Blue Springs or Jacomo. Respond here or shoot me a PM before noon Saturday and we can see if we can meet up to discuss the upcoming slaying season. If nobody responds, well then I guess I know how Joe Dog feels. Just kidding Joe Dog.

I will be going over to the 11 am show at Olathe to watch Kevin Rogers. Could make a swing over to independence to see Cory also. Just have to be back for a birthday party late afternoon.

Cory put on a real good seminar. Well worth the trip and met nice people too.

Yes I agree, it was a great seminar. The biggest take-away for me is that this makes the second year in a row where the pro talked about using a bigger bait - a 3 inch slab slayer with a 1/8 or 1/4 oz jig head. This goes completely against what I usually use, but I guess I'm going to have to make myself try it this year and see what happens.
