Fishing with Billbob

Billbob Slab and myself had an outing a few weeks ago. It started at Slabs house and supposed to be lake Griffin but the weather was a little windy so later in the day we reconvene on my end of the chain . Billbob was in the back and several times I saw him studying the lowrance 8 on the dash I thought for fish. But a few weeks has passed and it just dawned on me he not only was looking for fish but probably how it was performing as well------the Reason? At one time he owned the unit as I had purchased it slightly used Ling while back. Soooo now that I remember that Question for Billbob ----- Did I have it set about right or should I tweak it more to Find Fish?
