Rough day on Ouachita today

Rough windy day today. Much cooler than forecast, but mainly the wind was brutal. But a buddy and I still got out and chased the stripers. Only managed to catch one, this 6 1/2 pounder.

Wind doesn't look bad in this pic, we were sheltered and marked a lot of fish right there. But the ride back in the main river channel was whitecaps and a lot of spray.

Thanks, we had been having some great weather and I took the day off work to go based on the weather forecast. But the weatherman blew it and the cold front rolled in a day early.

Both the me and my buddy have bad backs. We paid for it on the ride back to ramp, whitecaps on Ouachita. Hard to believe looking at the background in that pic from the morning.
