Ego nets have come out with a new net this year that was designed for crappie fishing. The web site page for this net is, http://www.adventureproducts.com/fishing.htm

It will extend out around 10 feet I think. And when it is not extended it is only around 4 feet long. They retail for around $32.00. Check it out.

    JCD,
I have been using this net ever since they first came out. So far, I like them.
You can get them right off their web site through ebay, or you can get them at Elliott Outdoors, or I can send you one. That is after I find a box to put it in. LOL :D And I think you can get them at www.crappieusa.com
    Good luck!

You can send me one. Just bill Todd for it. As he was heading north when I talked to him today. And he would not know he bought a new net for a few days.:D
Thanks for the link to it. Sure looks like a good one.
Have you gotten a hook hung in it good yet?
