    Default Shellcracker

I live in the North Metro ATL area so resources are limited around me. I am looking to get on some Shellcrackers this year. Anyone willing to name drop some productive waters? Nohoney hole locations wanted. I will work to figure that out myself. Just a water body, general area(back of creek/main lake/up the river), and presentation. Prefer something in the metro area but would drive 2 or so hours for good fishing.

    Thanks for the help.

Now is a good time to scout Allatoona. Look for areas with a lot of mussel shells scattered . Some of the arms off Clear Creek is a good starting point .

Lake Juliette...I have caught some monster 'crackers out of there in years past. I don't fish it now due to my boat being to big.

Best Shellcrackers in Georgia are in the Altamaha River. Clark Hill has some good size also. If U want to really catch some really good Crackers try the St John river and Lake George the full moon of April.
