Last sunday the area above and below the dam at Truman was ice free. The back water area below dam had ice. The warm water arm of Thomas Hill is open in the winter.
Does anyone know if it's thawed at Truman or if it's iced over(above or below the dam)? also is Thomas Hill accessible year round(never fished there before)?

Below the dam had 1/2 inch skim over most of the surface this morning. We put in at the old city ramp and followed the trail MODC cut up to the old channel. There was some open water but most was ice covered. We used the boat to make the worlds largest slushy. The wind helped and we were able to open up a area to fish. That area should be completely open by Saturday. There is still a lot of skim ice but it will be gone soon.
