    Default Ice fishing line ?


    Asked this on the ice fishing forum got nothing zero zilch , what ice line do you all prefer I need to redo my ice rods had 3 break offs the other day bummed lost my fav ice jig . Mono or braid. Help please

    2# excel mono is what I used to use and never had any problems with it.
    I wouldnt do the braid without a leader, unless you are fishin 30 or more feet.

    8-20 feet deep old line now they have 80 million options Thought about the ice braid just for the sensitivity no stretch , thanks for responding

    I even know a few that use sewing thread when the bite gets light, instead of mono
