Air temp 46.6 -6am-by noon reahed 63.4.
Bara pressure 30:20 moving slightly up to
30:24 by 10am b4 start to fall to 30:20
by 1pm. Wind out of NE 8.1 mph 7:30am
6.9 mph at 9am, dropping to variable by 1pm. High pressure finally starting to ease
off since Wednesday. Cloudy in am, moving to "blue bird" skies b7 11am - no
clouds by 1pm. Water temp 59.4 -60.5
by noon.
Eight (8) teams took to water for second
event of 2015. Several teams had passed
for fear wind was going to be comming
out of N-NE down lake as it had previous
4 days creating white cap effect.
One (1) position paid for "Big Fish"

Two (2) positions paid for "7 fish total
catch weight"

7 lbs 15.0 oz
This was Bill Bercaw's 4th time winning
the January event in past 5 years. Bill,
I believe has found the "Honey Hole"
for this time of year on Tarpon.
Bercaw team using a push pull system,
Wally Marshall rods front / Deep South
in rear. Minnow tipped working 13 -15
ft water. Use of Slider jigs (grn/orange
tails & blue/orange tails) Ron's zip jigs
Green/blue comb. Skippers Moon jigs,
orange & chart.
Jordon team employed long-lining method
entire day. Working South-North on lake
8-10 ft contour,using various length rods.
Wally Marshall - Pinnacle -Shakespear Ultra-micro lights. Jigs being used were of "fat belly"design with stinger tails.
Bassin Assasin. Red head/yellow body,
Charthead/chart tails. Road runner, and
Beetle Spins various blade sizes usng
Chart - blue/chart bodies. Long-line
distances from 28 - 145 ft.
