This past weekend at Kure beach

Hey, went down to Kure beach and king fished all day saturday and most of the day sunday. I got two hits saturday but nothing on sunday. Hows the fishing at high rock.

they have been wearing out the kings on the Long beach pier.......until i show up.
im goin for an extended trip coming up Sunday.

Pete when on Oak Island do you ever fish the Ocean Crest Pier? They've landed @34 Kings this year. Also have had two 'Cudas this week.

i dont fish OCP, i fish the LBP......i fish with a good croud, and it is not so crouded on the LBP as it is on OCP.

I've only fished the LBP myself, but have read alot about the OCP since new owner/management took over last year. Always check 'em both out when I'm there. I generally fish the creeks of the canal, the point, or the ICW personally.

Glad to see you found the new board. I fished High Rock last Friday and caught about 30 crappie and a few others. 7 of the crappie were a decent size, 9 1/2 to 13 1/2 inches. They were 10-14 feet deep over 16-22 feet water. Caught a few decent bream at York Hill last Sunday and Wednesday. Going to York Hill in the morning(5/21). slab-seeker

Hey, my boats messed up. The starter gear on it broke. I have been looking everywere but cant find the part so it will be a while before I get back out on the river. I was going out this weekend to york hill for catfish but I dont like going down there of the bank because I never catch anything. Good luck on the 21st. Tight lines.
