    Default Making 4.25 inch paddletails

I got my new mold from Jacobs baits today. I had been making two inch paddle tail minnows. My newest mold is for the 4 1/4 inch paddletail minnows. It was fun to shoot the big boy minnow. In fact I am calling it "Big Boy."

I have landed some nice 2+ pounders and they have a big enough mouth to eat something like this.....but I will stick to my two inch paddle tail for the crappies because I believe in catch and grease. Stay safe on Guntersville Lake. (Hint) Check out the bridge near those grainery silos......just sayin. Some monster crappie are in there at about seven feet.

Dang "G"....I had to fill the injector twice just to shoot four paddletails. This guy and his three buddies in Kansas take frequent trips to Canada to chase the Northern Pike, He loved the small two inch ones I did for him for crappie fishing. So now he wants 40 Big Boys for his next guide trip in March for the Pike.

Swim them slowly. They are great for slow trolling or to fish under a slip float. I make them in sizes two inches (Crappie and Perch) or size four inches. (Walleye and Northern Pike). For more information please visit my website.
