got me a couple buddies that are doing quite well on Stockton,,,, guess they did not read the bad reports,,,,

Don't believe em. Fishing has been good. Dongotto and I have done well. I have been twice this week and caught lots of crappies. The reason for the bad report is that those guys aren't out there. Ice is forming in the cove by public ramp at Cedar Ridge. Probly will be frozen in by morning around the dock. The campground ramp is good and will probly remain open for a while. The water temp at State Park was 39 two days ago so not sure bout it yet. Turkey Creek froze up out to close to the mouth.

Tournament fishin' has taught me their always biting some where, unless it's Kaw Lake after the water goes up 9 feet over night.

I guess my thought is, if I were depending on a marina or guide service for my income and someone called me for a fishing report, regardless, SOMETHING would be biting.
"All species poor" is a poor reply when asked how the fishing is, there are always fish being caught some where.
I wouldn't lie, but I would not say "All species poor".
And that may well just be the dink who writes the report for the KC Star. He wrote an article a while back on blackpowder hunting and said GUNPOWDER is used in those guns.
