    Default Hillsdale 01/02/15

Started strong, ended cold. Cleaned 11. Caught a lot of shorts. Fish were with shad in 30+' FOW.

Good luck and happy new year.

Is the outlet good this time of year? I'm looking for some new places to fish when it's too windy for the boat. Kinda tired of my same ol spots

Yes it can be when their dumping the lake. They've been dumping the lake for at least 3 days. Little crowd there yesterday. Lot of shorts but the length limit isn't in effect for the outlet. I like the stairs on the left side better then the right.

Why is the length limit not in effect for the outlet? Maybe a dumb question, but i always assumed the rules are the same for the outlets as they are the lakes...

There is no length limit at perry outlet either. You can also keep 50 there. I assume that is because they won't stay around or stay alive long enough once they get dumped out of the lake. Thanks for that bit of info DH. I might have to go today if I have time
