I see why you posted on the La. forum. A fast rise in the spillway basin(Atchafalaya) usually shuts them down, even in winter. Don't know about there, but it causes the water to muddy up bad for a few days.
I fish in shepherds and David lake. Haven't been fishing lately but with the water rising now from the rain I was wondering what to expect tomorrow when I fish. The last fish I caught was deep in a creek but I know the creek will be running out fast now. I know what happens in the spring when the water gets out of the banks. How does it effect them this time of year? Advice would be appreciated.

That's what I was thinking would most likely happen here. Was going this morning but we have a pretty good north wind. I might wait till this afternoon and see what the wind does and try anyway. Thanks for the input.
