That's what its all about, having fun with the family and catching enough for a nice fish fry.
The wife, son and myself got to get on the water today, first time since Nov.1st. Fished from 11 to 3:30 and had 27 keepers most were 10.5-11 with four 13-14. All came off brush around docks. Depths varied from 7' to 20' of water. Fish were pretty aggressive and hit hard. Best color was Electric Chicken and Blue Ice Bobby Garland Baby Shad.
My wife was having second thoughts about going this mourning with the wind and cool weather. At the end of day she was glad she went. She caught the most fish and had two of the biggest. The thing she was most proud of is she finished the day with the same jig she started with. we fished some tight spots between docks today with the wind blowing too. I got her a 7' Sam Heaton Super Sensitive Rod and a Lew's spinning reel awhile back and today was her first full day of using it and loved it. It's a really light weight setup. She could shoot instead of casting and really helped in the strong wind.

Sounds like a great day! Congrats!
Sounds like you had a ball congrats and thanks for the report.
Family and fishing, can't beat it.
nice
Great report.
Congratulations on a good day spent fishing
Nothing wrong with that. When the wife and kids have fun it's a plus for you, congrats.
It was a fun day for sure and we had fish for dinner last night too. We fished a spot were there was 4' between two docks so only two people could fish it. The wind was blowing hard so I just stayed on the trolling motor and kept the boat were the wife and son could fish and they probably pulled 20 fish out of there. I enjoyed watching them catch fish just as much as catching fish myself.
