    Smile Friday on Dale Hollow

The bite was pretty slow but I did manage several keepers.Tried varied depths before finding them in Deep water[43 ft.]. The bulk of them were suspended in the 22-28 ft. range. Vertical jigged a 1/16 oz. minnowhead with a chart./black Squirmin Squirt. This was the biggest-just shy of 2 1/2 lbs.!!It was sure fun bringing up through all the tree limbs-LOL,several times I thought it was off!

Those size crappie are real fun to hook up with. I have hooked 2 like that and thought both times that I had something else for sure and when I saw it was scrambling for the net and having heart palpitations and pinching myself to see if I was dreaming. lol Real nice fish there!

    Good lucking fish!

Heard the lower end of Dale Hollar is turning over or something like that. Any truth to that? Some of the guys at work are thinking about come over that way during Christmas week and do some smallie fishing.

Hey thanks. I thought that it was kind of late for a turn over but just going to ask. Maybe if we get to come and the smallies are not biting I can try to catch one of the slab like you caught. Just wishing!! Have a good Christmas.
