Not familiar with that reel, but here is a site with an exploded view of it. Looks to me like maybe the spool just unscrews from the spindle. Be aware if you try this that it may be left-hand threads. Good luck.
My old cheap shimanos had a button to push to pop off the spool. These new ones do not. How do you remove the spool?

What he said!! Unscrew the drag tension knob until it comes off, lift the spool off gently. Be careful when the spool comes off a couple thin washers may come with it, watch you don't lose them!!!
x2 with zinger on unscrewing the knob and yeah don't lose the washers. I really liked those old push button spool removal!!
This looks like the drag is at the back end of the reel....not sure it will come off that way. Whatever you try, be gentle and take your time
UNSCREW OPPOSITE THE WAY THE BAIL TURNS .
I have 8 of these reels I use for slip bobbers and minnows with 15 lb braid. These reels are great for the price! You can lift the bell and cast all with one hand! I love these.
Let us know how you got it off.

To remove the spool for the rear drag Shimano 2000...tighten the drag all the way tight. (Rotate rear drag mob clockwise). Rotate the spool counter clockwise. Spool will come right off.
