Rayburn results 12/13

What a beautiful day to be on the water. We caught 19, three just under 16 inches, many about 12 or so. All were on bottom in 30-34 feet of water oriented VERY close to structure, like right up against it. Minnows and 1/16 oz homemade jigs. You had to hit them on the head to get them to bite. Only caught one throwback. I was watching the water as my fishing buddy cranked it to the surface. When it was about a foot under the surface I could see a 8-10 lb bass following it, mouth open, about to inhale it. All I could get out was, "whuuuu....yb...duuu....AW CRAP!" I got a real good broadside look at her as she broke off the attack and turned to dive. She had to be almost a foot from the dorsal to the bottom of her big white belly.
