I think they are all on the tx fishing forum Idolizing two people.
Just waiting for some good weather to go scout the local lakes. Due to the flu, I am a fair weather fisherman!
crappie havent started bitting yet, i been checking ,but no reports from some guys who know the crappie ,, bass are good in 10-14 ft . of water ..along grass and moss lines,,,, Big Lou
In the early mornings and late afternoons, when there is no wind and the lakes are like glass, I like to drive by my favorite crappie lakes and look for bubbles. The bubbles are a good signal that they are active-very few bubbles lately.
Ok Jigster,
You asked for it. I'm in the small Texas town of Melvin, Pop 150. I'm about 10 miles from Brady lake, 30 mi. from Ivey Res., and 60mi. from Lake Brownwood. Last summer I fished Brady Lake some but still haven't learned the lake. would like to hear from others in this area.
Thanks,
Charlie
you still doing mortage stuff?

The crappie and fishermen are looking for cover here on Lake Houston after the last 2 days of downpours. The temp has dropped today into the 50's but maybe the weekend will be better. Has anyone been have success on the lake or in the bayou? I will try it this weekend below the dam.
Hey Minnow killer,
Good to hear from someone back home. I moved from Houston about a year ago, sure miss it. I've had some good luck on the river near the 59 bridge. there is a boat ramp near there it would be hard to give you directions to it but gets you on the river to some good crappie.

Hey Bella, I was wondering where you'd been. Good to hear from ya.
Fellows, Crapppie are always somewhere. It's knowing where they are that isn't always easy. Right now I'm boatless, but I do have a tube and been fisihing creeks around Lavon in the DFW area. Yesterday I limited out on some Hawgs. Actually had the biggestr crappie I've ever seen up to the top of the water and as I reached out for it,(BOOM!) if flipped off and disappeared. Sick I tell ya. But I caught one over 2lbs on the next drop.
Find deep spots with a little cover and you should find fish.
