    Default Bass Pro buys Ranger/stratos/Triton

I don't know Bass Pro Rangers. Something about that just doesn't sound right.

Good things come to those who bait.

I see compromise in Ranger quality down the road.

I said the same as you guys. Hope they keep the quality up. Would hate to see them start out sourcing the work.

I am not saying they wont cut corners. But I believe Johnny Morris learned a great lesson when he acquired Seacraft and completely destroyed the name and hull by cutting corners years ago. That venture cost him a great deal of funds. And that is all over thehulltruth forum. Would it not be possible to gather an industry leading group of engineers and make all 4 lines better with this acquisition? I am hoping for the best in this as I would hate to see a name like Ranger or Triton ruined. May happen, may not. But I assure you every eye will be watching and scrutinizing every move they make.

This was posted on another site yesterday or the day before. I agree with most that quality will go down and used Ranger prices will go. My guess is the new Ranger lines will be filled with china made junk. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple brands go away.
