    Default Rod Handles

I have 3 older casting rods with removable handles. I can't find the handles after the rods have been in storage for several years.

Where would I look for replacements?

2 of the rods are steel and one is fiberglass.

Depending on if you want a complete handle, pistol grip or spinning rod grip, handle building kit, etc.

These wouldn't be the older shakespeer rods with the handle and short piece of rod would they?

Or are they just the removable butt peice behing the reel seat? Show us a picture of what you have. I build rods all the time and might be able to point you in the right direction if I know what I am looking for.

From what I remember the rod just pushed into the handle

I was able to find a handle on eBay. It is a true plugger true temper rod. The hole the rod slips into the handle is too large. Is suppose to be some type of sleeve in the handle?
Thought someone might have experience with this set up.
    Thanks

What you're looking for is a handle "ferrule" for your rod.

You're probably going to have to know (or find) the measurements of the butt of the rod blank and the "hole" where it goes into the handle. Best bet would be to contact a rod builder for help.
