    Default Trolling Motor Problem

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this same problem. I have a 2004 Motorguide Pro 4300 that just quit. I have checked the power outlet on the front of the boat and power is coming from the battery but nothing happens when I try to turn on the motor. I don't know if the switch is bad or something more serious. I am looking for suggestions before I take it to the shop.

Is it foot control or hand?

Take a test light and see if your getting any power to your roller wheel, then check to see if you have it at the toe switch. You can narrow it down like that.If you have power to but not away from the respective switches, then they are suspect. If you have power coming away from both switches I'd suspect the motor itself.
