Hello to all!

I have been out on the lake a few days a week all year. For those of you not in the Pa. area...we are having crazy weather in the upper 40s to mid 50's!!!

No ice...but the crappie and walleye fishing is top notch.

I am having major trouble finding minnows this time of year and was wondering if folks here have used the Berkley Gulp minnows and or Gulp grubs?

I'm vertical jigging with small minnows when I can get them, and night crawler chunks when I can't.

We are catching nice crappie, yellow perch and walleye.

I nailed 6 walleye 16-19" in 2 hours on monday.

Any tips on using Gulp grubs or minnows? Do they really give off enough scent to attract fish?

Thanks!

Buckmark, alot of us are using the hollow body jigs and injecting them with Crappie Nibbles using the Bait Pump. I seems to be working real well.
Check out this link. Randy, aka Slab Hunter has a link at the bottom of his post if you are interested in the pump.

I use berkley earthworm and nightcrawler with great results.
I fell that it is plenty scent and they eat it and hold on, too.
2 thumbs up for the earthworm and nightcrawler.

I've used the grubs but haven't had much luck, think that they would work in the pump, tho.

I've never really been impressed with the gulp grubs. Too fat and weird colors. I think you'd be better off with berkleys other grubs or thundersticks or cranks for the walleyes.
