Early Christmas

When I was little, I was the one who begged to open presents early. I also get so excited about what I've gotten for others that I end up giving presents early, too. The past few years, Paul and I have treated ourselves at Christmas with items that we both have been wanting and both will enjoy. This year, we agreed on and got ourselves the Master Built smoker, but I didn't wait for his input and surprised him early with this.





By the way, THANK YOU to Brian at BBG! I knew what we wanted but didn't know everything we needed to link the two birds and the terrova. Not only did we get a great deal on the 959, he also made sure I got all the right cabling, adapters, switch box, etc. If Paul gets that last deer and can carve out time to get this all hooked up, we'll be fishing again by Christmas! It's sauger time, ya know!

HA! Sorry, only one new electronic toy per year! The knee is not nearly as good as hoped for. As soon as he finishes a round of steroids, it starts swelling and throbbing all over again. He hunted Thanksgiving morning and really didn't have to walk far, but the next day it was hurting and swollen. He's still pretty frustrated. Can't have an MRI because of his pacemaker and they don't seem real interested in doing anything else diagnostically. If there's not some additional improvement, they're talking about scoping it. Before it comes to that, he's gonna give the chiropractor a chance to work on it.
