Default when is it to deep to effectively spyder rig fish ?

    hey guys,
going to try spyder rigs for the first time this next spring.
my prespawn crappie will be in 18 to 30fow.

i'm guessing you have to use heavier weight when you have more line out...
is there sort ofa limit on deep you run your rig, where it gets tough to fish effective ?

    hope that makes sense.

    thx,
    dave

Doesn't matter if it 5' or 50'. I use 3/4 oz all the time... It's a good all around weight.

1oz. When fishing deep, fast, or in heavy wind. I caught em spiderrigging in 60ft last winter. Thats really the most effective way to fish for em when they are that deep, IMO.
