    Default Slipping Trolling Motor

My hand operated Motor-guide creeps down as I use it.
It is very tight and shouldn't slip, but it does.

Anyone have a suggestion on how to stop the slipping?

you may want to make shure there is no oil inside the clamp, that would allow it to slide down, if your clamp is just worn then you may want to add a piece of tape to the inside of the clamp to help give it more grip

Try using a scrap of inner tube inside the clamp. This should take up some slack and provide good grip. Plus it will take some vibration out.
