    Does it have a black nose? Just can't see it if it's there.

    I've heard of them being called "magnolia" crappie. The stripe is the identifier. Supposed to be a black/white hybrid and not able to spawn.

    Take me it for what it's worth...

    Yep, it's definitely there !! Just looks like a dark shadow along the back/nose, due to the position of the fish.

    Yes, there are Magnolia Crappie ... but I don't know how far their distribution goes.

    Here's a thread from last year, from a member from NE, relating a catch of "white" Crappie with black stripes ... but, no pictures to back up the claim. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/main-...-stripe-2.html

    Yep, it's a Magnolia Black Nose Crappie. I wasnt aware of any in Tennessee, but who knows?

    Which lake did that come from Fishawk? That's Definitely something I will have to keep on the look out for in the future.Thanks for sharing.

    Caught it a Woods this afternoon. It stood out like a sore thumb. I released it.
