    Default question re. posting weight

    when i see a fish weight posted at 2.2, is that last "2" 2/10's of a pound or is it 2 ounces? my guess is that 2.2 means 2 pounds two ounces. confirmation please. i would post a weight with a dash,not a period, for ounces---like 2-2.thanks

    (each 0.1lb = 1.6oz)
    0.2lbs = 3.2oz
    0.5lbs = 8oz

    2.2lb vs 2lbs 2oz vs 2lbs 3.2oz .... it's all good

    Some may be weighing on digital scales - others may be "meaning" 2lbs 2oz (when they say 2.2) .... but, the difference is so small, does it really matter in the greater scheme of things ? We are talking fractions of an ounce, to a couple of ounces, max. Unless you're weighing in at a tourney ... that's not much to worry over. Besides .... the weight "could have" been a guesstimate, anyway. :D ......... cp
