how much line

ok how much line do i need to let out to troll a 1/16th road runner at a 9 to 10 foot depth?
i normally just fish tree tops but seems like around noon the bite slows and when im changing spots i see bait and fish scattered from 8 to 10 foot...im just hanging rods off the side while i troll around from .8 to 1 mph

Depends on what size (diameter) of line and what kind it is, i.e.: mono, fluoro, braid. With this information, I think the folks here can be of help to you.
