Default Ram Mount for Ipilot Remote pics

My hands and fingers give out on me after holding the remote over a short period of time. I modified my Ram scissor mount by adding a strip of medal to extend the holder arms. The pieces of scrap metals were 1 1/2 inch es long and the same width as the holder fingers. I removed the rubber and tie wrapped the pieces, then reinstalled the rubber which covers the extension and part of the finger and gives good support to the extension.

I mostly use L/R buttons and turn tm power on and off with foot pedal button. Simple for simple person such as myself.

This works pretty good, so I thought I would share it.

Yep. Remote too thick because of the battery compartment. I just raised the rail for the fatty.

I wear an auto inflate pfd. I was instructed not to put anything over the pfd, especially clothing and any string items. Besides, if I wore it around my neck, I would forget where I put it.
