Everything you ever wanted to know about pulling/pushing cranks for crappie is available on the Mississippi board. There is a sticky called "Pulling Cranks 101. Go there. Learn. Catch fish!

In my neck of the lake, Bandit 200 and 300's get the nod. This is the Nashville, TN areas I fish.
Favorite colors #1 is Baby Bass, by far my best catcher.
#2 would be the Mad Cow design.
#3 would be a Bone White.
I like to use side planers, three to each side and two rods out the back, trolled at 1.5-1.9 mph. I fiddle with speed to see what they want for the day.
Thanks for the replies. When you find a color of jig that works well for a particular body of water, would those colors (or as near as possible) work for the cranks also?
My go to jig colors are blk/chart. popsickle,pink/white,and brwn/chart.
