    Default Flourescent tips

Does anyone know of rods that have the flourescent tip other than the Crappie Wizzard or the Outlaw Poles? I am looking for something that is at least 10' and light for vertical jigging.

Is there any effective way to make the tips of existing rods flourescent without interfering with the line? I tried to paint one with some Testers model paint. It looked real good for about an hour but as soon as the rod tip flexs or you send the tip down to get unsnagged, it chips off.

    Thanks,

    Hey fiddlefarter,

Like your myspace link. How exactly do these arrow wraps work and have you used them before. Is it similiar to shrink wrap for electrical wires? Will they slide over the eyes?

I went to the arrow wrap site. Which particular product am I looking for. Please keep in mind that I am not a bowhunter.

    Thanks for all your help.

You can paint your rod tips with a good spray paint like Krylon. Just put a Q-tip in each eye before you spray paint the tip and then remove them before the paint dries. I have all my slip-float poles painted different colors on the tip and at the reel seat and have the slip-floats painted to match so it's easier for folks to snatch up the right rod when a float goes under.

Jerry does the krylon paint hold up well? Does it chip off on your rods?

    Thanks,

If you fish at night, putting a little reflector tape on the end of a pole can help. A lot of catmen use it.

I used these. I had some extras laying around from when I was putting them on some arrows. Realistically, painting is a lot cheaper if you can get a paint to stick. But I just trimmed these a little narrower and wrapped them on. You can do a couple with just 1 wrap and I think there are a dozen wraps in a package. I just did mine from where the tip ends to the next guide. If these guys have a paint that will hold up I'd check it out though. For the money reasons.
