    Default A Short Vacation

The wife and I took a A Short Vacation, but covered a lot of territory....We didn't stick to our original plan and it caused us a ton of headaches.
We had originally planned to travel up the east coast to Williamsburg,Va. and spend a couple of days in Charleston, SC. on the way up. From Williamsburg we were going to travel to the mountains and see the Blue Ridge Parkway, but we were so anxious to see the mountains we reversed our route. We arrived in the mountains on Monday....RAIN....FOG....WIND. Tuesday were still trying to salvage the mountain part of our trip but more RAIN.....FOG.....WIND. Meanwhile the Charleston area had clear skies. Wednesday we decided to leave the Mountains around Roanoke, Va. and high tail it for the Virginia coast. The rain followed us and we spent one day there sightseeing in the RAIN! Meanwhile it appears the Mountains had clear skies. Next stop Charleston, SC. where we had a great time and great weather. Then on to St Augustine for two days of more great weather.
Had we stuck to our original plan it would have been clear skies the whole way. I even had planned to visit with my Virginia CdC friends Anchor Man an Fishinhilbili but things were so rushed we didn't seem to accomplish any of what we set out to do.

Oh well blame it on the weatherman, he lies all the time. Nice pics, looks like a cool trip

Wife and I made the trip to St. Augustine, Fl on Tuesday and Wednesday. Great city to walk, auto traffic horrific.

    Whetstone Chocolates Chocolate high
Award Winning Florida Wines - San Sebastian Winery Tried 5 different selections. Same offering at Lake Ridge Winery, Clermont, Fl. (same owners)
St. Augustine Distillery tried both spirits from taste bar.
Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park – The Original 1565 Site of The Nation's Oldest City Drank several bottles, DIDN'T help one bit. Interesting history and artisans working.
